Peskov says government, president control food prices
MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- The Russian government and President Vladimir Putin control the food prices, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
"The issue is undoubtedly under constant control of the president and of the government, as you know, it is constantly monitoring this. So the answer is positive, yes, they control," Peskov said.
He added that it is a question for the economists whether prices for some food are growing because prices for other food are restricted.
"The only issue is whether it happens in the framework of seasonal price fluctuations or exceeds them," Peskov said.
